As inevitable as it might seem at this point, maybe we donโ€™t have to be hooked up to our TVs and Twitter feeds for the ENTIRE month of October do we? (Well, maybe we do.) In case you need an excuse to break away from the news for an hour or two, I wanted to let you know about a few How to Celebrate Everything talks, readings, and signings Iโ€™ll be participating in here and there over the next few weeks. Finally, Last week, I was part of a New York Times โ€œFood for Tomorrowโ€ panel on food writing (there I am above on the left with Michael Twitty and Molly Yeh) and you can watch from your own couch in between checking the headlines.
