Iโve been addicted to Cup of Joโsย house toursย for as long as I can remember, and today Iโm pleased toย announce that I had the chance to work on one myself, interviewing Brooklyn mom/stylist/brand newย authorย LaTonya Yvette. My favorite reader comment so far is โThis is not a house tour, itโs a soul tourโ and itโs so true! These posts at their best are as much about a philosophy of living as they are about where to buy the ceiling pendant. I hope you head over to Cup of Jo to read the whole interview, but hereโs a little teaser:
โWhen I was a kid, my mom used to write us cards as a treat. For me, even though I see my kids all the time, Iโm always wondering, โIs there is something Iโm not saying? Is there something Iโm missing?โ So a letter is about filling these spaces, letting them know that Iโm still thinking about them even if Iโm not saying it. Or itโs about praising them. Or just saying I noticed that you did this, or I know you might be nervous about that,ย or thank you for being a great big sister to your little brother โ just acknowledging something that I may not acknowledge on a day-to-day level.โ
I am totally ripping off this idea. Head over to Cup of Jo for the full tour.

Your blog and Cup of Jo are two of my absolute favorites, so thereโs no way I wouldnโt love it. The house tour is fabulous!!
Too funny! I read it but I donโt always pay attention to the byline. It was a good one!
Loved both the house tour (CofJ house tours are the BEST!) and seeing your byline on my other favorite blog!
